Solar energy technology was applied into space technology on the 60's, 20th, while on 70's the photovoltaic industry began to apply into the ground area in China, its application mainly refers to communication, remote area ("Chinese bright project"), entertainment and other solar products which was fallen to research and demonstration currently . On the other hand, China has fallen to research and demonstration of connected grid generating systems, which is called “Roof sunlight systems”. The development of photovoltaic power project depends on the development standard of solar energy cells, which also rests with the level of production and development of materials used in solar energy cells. Therefore , the solar energy is a huge market but needs to be practice in long term. 

（1）"Chinese bright project"



　　To solve the electricity shortage in Chinese remote areas, especially the west part of China, Chinese Planning Commission has promoted "the Chinese bright project" which Mainly refers to the generating systems of the independent photovoltaic power stations, the household use photovoltaic power stations (illumination, television, radio, water pump and so on). These photovoltaic power stations play a positive role on improving local people' living standard both on materials and culture, bringing along the local economic development. Besides, the bright project also can promote progress on manufacturing industry with scale in household use photovoltaic generating systems.

（2）Industrial applications



　　Industrial applications include industry, agriculture, transportation and others (for example: railroad, road signal system, pharos, meteorological and seismic station, hydrology observation station, drill tubing and clough cathode protecting etc.).

（3）Roof sunlight systems



　　The roof sunlight systems refer to "the solar energy incorporation in power network roof photovoltaic power system " which unites the various roofs and the building facades, installs solar cells with solar energy transforming function in the roofs, to make each roof as a small green power plant. In China, due to the reduce of cost, Chinese government has already carried on the generating demonstration of photovoltaic roof incorporation in power network in the metropolis, and started to make experiments with photovoltaic generation of the solar energy in the period of " 11th five year plan ", started " the roof plan” in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong provinces. By far, several photovoltaic power stations of solar energy have been built with above megawatt power.

（4）Expense, entertainment and other solar products



　　Expense, entertainment and other solar products which include street light, street clock, solar energy calculator, solar energy wristwatch , solar energy yacht and toy etc.
